Mr. Smith turned 90 this June. I had the opportunity to photo him in his sprawling garden of peppers, peas, and tomatoes of every size and shape available at the feed store.



He refuses to stay inside in the air conditioning, says he should "Stay out here and see what I can see while I'm living."
